In the 50s, the company Polaroid came up with cameras that, after a click of the shutter, immediately printed out the finished frame. With the advent of smartphones, they are forgotten, but now they are back in fashion. And if you miss the real pictures that you can hold in your hands, donate or paste into the album, you should get acquainted with the new cameras of instant photography.

Instant Print Cameras

Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10 - square insta camera

Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10 - Square Insta Camera

Funny square machine, very similar to the Instagram icon, is equipped with the latest photographic equipment.

On its back there is a color display with a diagonal of 3 ″ and a compact control panel with keys located around a flat joystick button. By the way, this device prints photos also of square shape and size 62x62 mm.

Pros:

  • The camera is extremely simple and easy to use - even beginners will quickly master it.
  • A wide range of manual settings, plus numerous automatic modes (double exposure, macro, self-timer timer, etc.).
  • A functional image editor in which you can add frames, change the balance of colors, use different filters.
  • It is possible to “collect” a common photo from two frames or to make whole collages.
  • A good flash ensures clear and bright images even at night.
  • A capacious 740 mAh battery withstands up to one hundred and fifty frames per charge.
  • The internal memory is enough for 50 pictures (but it can be expanded with a 32 GB flash card).

Minuses:

  • A poorly positioned viewfinder is almost useless.
  • Long development and printing - about 2-3 minutes.
  • The price of 18-19.5 thousand rubles, plus about a thousand more will have to be paid each time for a block of suitable photo paper for 10 sheets.

Leica Sofort - with adjustable focus

Leica Sofort - with adjustable focus

Another square camera, this time in retro design. Both the “chopped” case and the tiny monochrome display on the back panel remind of its belonging to the departed 90s.

This camera has plenty of modern functions: there are modes for portrait and group shooting, macro and double exposure, as well as a photo in motion. The device prints images measuring 6.2x4.6 cm.

Pros:

  • The compact dimensions of the camera and the weight is only 305 g.
  • A sufficiently capacious battery to take about 100 shots without recharging.
  • The viewfinder with the increase - not at all in view of the missing full-size screen.
  • The camera takes great photos even in the dark, all shots are bright and rich.
  • Ability to manually adjust the focus in any of the selected modes.
  • There is a built-in red-eye correction function and a selfie mirror.

Minuses:

  • Printing photos starts immediately - without a chance to retouch or delete a frame altogether. It is “analog”, as in the first Polaroids, that is, the snapshot will still appear for several minutes.
  • The price is about 25-30 thousand rubles.
  • The high cost of cartridges - a block of 10 photos will cost 2800 rubles.

Lomo’Instant Automat Glass - for bold photo experiments

Lomo’Instant Automat Glass - for bold photo experiments

This camera is probably the richest in functionality that even a beginner will make you feel like a photo artist.

Here you can independently set up portrait or landscape photography, use various filters, play around with the focus settings. In general, this is a model for "analog" film photography - only without fussing with developers.

Pros:

  • Wide-angle lens for greater capture of the composition.
  • Multiple-exposure function with a special filter, a macro lens and other “professional” gadgets that will help to create unusual frames in the spirit of lomo.
  • Automatic settings of aperture, shutter speed and flash for good shooting in any light.
  • There is an anti-glare lens coating.
  • The lens cap is a simplified remote control and can work as an auto or remote descent.

Minuses:

  • Too many settings - experienced photographers will like it, but beginners will have to carefully study the instructions.
  • Just a tiny snapshot size 62h46 mm.

Polaroid Snap Touch - a cute toy for a teenager

Polaroid Snap Touch - a cute toy for a teenager

This is still the same Polaroid from the past, only much more compact and trained in new tricks. It is equipped with a 13 megapixel camera, a good CMOS matrix, which quickly processes the received photos, and an LCD screen on which a digital image is displayed.

The camera produces cards of 5x7.5 cm in size for 20-35 seconds, and also can transmit them to mobile devices via Bluetooth.

  • Very compact dimensions - 15x16x5 cm.
  • Convenient control implementation via touch screen.
  • There is a mirror to make it easier to take a selfie.
  • Support for 3 types of memory cards: microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC.

  • Excellent print quality built-in printer, and when transferred to an external device, it is even higher.
  • Comes with special photo paper for 30 frames.
  • A lot of pleasant things for convenient use: lens cover on a magnet, a tripod socket, a wrist strap.
  • For smartphones, there is a companion application that significantly expands the list of camera settings.

Minuses:

  • Weak flash, which is why in low light images may not work. But with the bright sun, the screen is already “blind”.
  • There is no own memory in the camera - everything is recorded only on a USB flash drive.

It will be interesting to friends too
