Multivarki are very popular in the market of kitchen appliances. Advertisers convinced people of the need to purchase these devices, but for some reason “forgot” to talk about the main thing: multicookers have fundamental structural differences, on which not only price and quality depend, but also preparation time.

multicooker induction and tenovaya

TEN Multivarka

The main element of the multicooker is a tubular electric heater. Heating elements mounted in the bottom, walls, and sometimes in the lid of the apparatus, heat up the cooking container.

Induction

The heating element is directly the bowl in which the food is prepared. This capacity is made of a special alloy that is heated under the influence of a changing electric (induction) field caused by an electromagnet.

To determine which multicooker suits you best - induction or tenova, let's answer 5 questions.

What is more economical

All multicookers are extremely economical, because they do not consume electricity all the time, but spend it only to heat and maintain temperature. So the 1-kW heating multicooker, in one hour, will not consume 4 rubles 50 kopecks of electricity (the cost of 1 kW / hour in Moscow from January 1, 2014).

On average, the multi-cooker actually consumes 200 watts per hour. And the induction device is also economical, because the food that is prepared under pressure requires 2 times less electricity. Even with the most rough estimate, it turns out that 4-5 servings of borscht cooked in an induction unit will cost almost 30 kopecks each (not counting the cost of the products).

What's safer

The work of powerful heaters located below, on the sides and in the lid of the multicooker, causes loads on the power grid. In homes with old wiring is not recommended the simultaneous use of the ten Multicooker, iron and washing machine. The main danger is associated with a short circuit and subsequent ignition of wires in the wall.

In addition to the presence of this threat, cooking will be periodically interrupted by “departing” traffic jams or by triggering semi-automatic protection devices. In addition, any fireman knows that in a plastic or metal case the induction coil is much safer than the heaters.

What is more technological

Induction Multivarki developed after the release of the tenovy devices. This difference of several years allowed the designers to take into account the shortcomings of heating elements and apply new technologies in induction equipment.

In the new generation devices, the number of programs has been increased to 15, it is possible to cook with or without pressure, and the cooking bowls are made of 8-10 layers of the latest materials. These components have high thermal conductivity, longer resist corrosion and mechanical damage. The non-stick coating no longer uses perfluorooctanoic acid, which some consider unhealthy.

Unlike tenov multicookers, induction (heating) and cooking in new devices is controlled by the central processor. This "electronic brain" selects the most appropriate temperature and humidity for each dish. In tenov multivarcs, these processes are not fully controlled, but are controlled only by temperature and pressure sensors.

One of the nice innovations is the Russian-speaking voice guide, which is present in all new induction multicookers certified in Russia. He comments on the processes taking place, gives advice and warns about upcoming operations.

Along with the electronic innovations described above, the designers of induction multicookers also provided manual control when the user is allowed to independently set the sequence and time of operations.

Which is faster

Induction Multivarka works 30% faster than tenovoy. This is because the device instantly heats the food and cooks it under pressure. Heater slowly heats up, its power is not regulated. Instead, the time relay periodically turns the heating element on and off. In an induction multicooker, the intensity of heating is regulated, in combination with an electronic timer, this gives greater variability.

Some housewives claim that the soup, which Teng cooks for 1 hour and 40 minutes, the induction device cooks in just 60 minutes.

However, the creators of the new multicooker did not rely only on speed. So, for some dishes, such as pilaf, there is also a slow cooking mode.

What is bad for health

All the talk about the fact that the vortex electromagnetic field created by induction multicookers is harmful to health is a trick for those who are trying to realize the electric appliances that were stored in warehouses. The minimum damage from the impact of this field on a person is limited to the device and the device body.

Responding to another myth associated with “harmful radiation” from induction devices, I would like to remind you that we daily irradiate our brain more strongly by placing a mobile phone at our ear.

And the old and new devices are doing an excellent job with cooking. In the end, there are mistresses who still use the Soviet steamersworking on gas. It all depends on how much you value your time, money and trust in new technologies.

It will be interesting to friends too
